At what age should somebody stop wearing their baseball cap backwards?
Should you tip a drink cart person on a golf course if all they do is reach back and open the cooler and nothing else?
When should people be invited to an event and when shouldn't they, especially if there is extra spaces available? Or should the event just have less people, even if that means paid spots go unused?
When should your under performing first round pick be benched, dropped or traded? ie Chris Johnson, Arian Foster.
Why do some people who make their living selling, aren't able to return a telephone call?
Do kids today know how to give a nick name?
Why do some people ignore others that can influence a relationship?
Which is more fun playing good golf with strangers or playing bad golf with friends?
If your child wants to support an out of town team should you let them?
Is it better not to invite somebody that is a wet blanket but who expects to be invited, or just not have the event at all?
Why don't kids go to the bathroom before they leave the house, but they need to go as soon as they get somewhere else (even if they only left the house 60 seconds ago)?
Wine, beer, spirits or does it depend?
Coke or Pepsi?
Rib Eye or Filet?
Ham or Turkey?
On Hotdogs - ketchup or mustard?
In Coffee - milk, cream, nothing or something else?
Life is about the journey and its experiences. After all everybody eventually gets to the same destination.

NL East Champions
On a cold night my 2 boys and I went to Citizens Bank park to watch the Phillies. We were hoping that they would win the division tonight, and Roy Oswalt set them up to do so. Stutes made it interesting by giving up a couple of runs, but Brad Lidge shut that mini rally down by getting the third out on only one pitch.
The bottom of the eighth inning had two highlights with Hunter Pence beating out a close through for an infield single, and then of course Raul's grand slam. The place went wild.
A couple of photos from the night. Great pics as they came from my cell phone.

St Supery
The Minx was very nice to give me an early 2011 Christmas present (or was it a late 2010). Regardless it was a St. Supery 2009 Moscato. It was delicious, easy to drink, and left me wanting a second bottle.
The description from the St Supery website for the 2010 version:
St Supery.com
Brilliant hues pale yellow and green hues present this Moscato. Aromas abound with rich apricots, peach blossom and exotic guava. Vibrant ripe sweet flavors of nectarine, peach and citrus complete a full rich profile finishing with bright acidity. This wine is lightly sweet with a crisp acidity that keeps it light on the palate and hence a great companion to a wide variety of foods. Enjoy as an aperitif with salty snacks, with spicy Asian and Latin cuisine and also with fruit-based desserts and cheese courses.
We drank it was Salmon with various spices cooked on the grill. They went very well together.

Don't forget
The rugby world cup starts tomorrow in New Zealand. The Wallabies are one of the favorites. They play in the same pool as the US, Russia, Ireland and Italy. It should be a fun couple of weeks.

Bad fantasy week
I crept into the fantasy baseball playoffs by beating Coach in the final game. All up a very frustrating season. I scored the second most points in the league for the season but managed to finish at .500. In the first round of the playoffs I play Bone Marrow. It is fairly close but it didn't help that Chase Utley took a ball off his noggin and will miss a couple of games. I need all the points I can get.
We had our fantasy football draft this week too. I think I had a really good draft and was happy to grab Peyton Manning in the 8th round with the hope that he would miss only a couple of weeks and then put up the fantasy numbers he traditionally has. I was ready for a good season, and have been crowing about it to the other team owners. Of course after telling Man U that I thought he had a ordinary draft he was more than happy to let me know that Peyton had surgery today and would be out for 2-3 months.

New England Beers
I tried another 3 beers from my recent trip to Maine and New Hampshire.
The UFO Raspberry Heferweizen - very sweet. Ok if you like fruit beers, but wouldn't order a case, or even a middy. I believe it comes from Harpoon in Boston.
Long Trail Breweries Blackbeary Wheat. Another fruit bear which I preferred over the raspberry but not enough to order again. Long Trail is from Vermont.
Long Trail Double Bag. Not a bad beer and slightly different from all the IPAs that are served all over. Easy to drink with good flavor. Something to try outside of mass produced or IPAs.
Good news is that I didn't buy the fruit beers but was given them to try.

October Beers
I read an article in the Philly Inquirer about October beers which forced me to go to the best grocery store in the world, Wegmans. I bought the following:
Flying Dog - DogtoberFest Marzen - 5.6% (Frederick MD)
Weyerbacher - Imperial Pumpkin Ale - 8% (Easton PA)
Sly Fox - OctobeFest Lager - 5.8% (Phoenixville PA)
All are very tasty. I have become a big fan of Flying Dog and Sly Fox. All the beers I have tried from these breweries have been very good, and easy to drink. The Weyerbacher was great but at 8% not drinking a ton of them a once.

New Apps
I have an IPad 2, which I love. Apart from just how easy it is to use, the number of apps you can get is huge. A new one I just downloaded is called Stumble Upon. You put in the topics that you are interested in and it randomly "stumbles upon" websites relating to that topic. There is a wide range of topics, baseball, football, history, music, movies, etc.
I tried it out for the first time and this flow chart on baseball was shown.

As a Phillies fan I'm particulary impressed with how the Mets and Yankees.

So early
I walked past a card store today and noticed the expected Halloween decorations, but their was also a little display in the corner with Christmas decorations. I love Christmas, it is my favorite holiday but common on it is September 2, some kids aren't even back in school from their summer break, labor day is still a few days away, and yet the retail trade must be doing so bad that we have to have to get ready for Christmas in September.
Merry, Merry.
