Beverage Report
Commentary on the beers from our beer exchange:
From Bone Marrow:
Enjoyed several Winter Storms (Cat 5) this weekend. Tasty amber beer but couldn't make a night out of them. I enjoyed them with some home made mozzarella sticks.
From Farm Building
Just had the Flying Fish Grand Cru Winter Reserve- I'll admit that I am skeptical on the brewery itself (nothing ever quite struck me) and having had too much of their their Dubbel one session (although Victory's Golden Monkey Trippel was worst day after feeling I've ever had, including worse day of bad company results)
But this.....
Excellent. Goes very well w/ truffled fontina, manchego and brie. Would buy a case.
From Cast Iron:
Tried the Maximus IPA by Lagunitas (purchased by Farm). Not what I expected. A strong aroma (making me think it was to be much darker) but a golden amber when poured. In fact a beautiful color. Good head and a tasty beer. Very hoppy. As described on the label "Hops, Malt, Hops, Hops, Yeast, Hops, Water and Hops. From their website:
Maximus
