I tried the next beer from the beer exchange. This one was the Otter Creek Alpine Black IPA from Middlebury Vermont.
Otter Creek Brewing
It was black in color which is always a warning signal for me, and although not as hoppy as the Maximus was still hoppy. It had a faint taste of a stout, no head when poured, and overall a decent beer but not something that I would be buying everyday.
I also had the chance to try a Tommyknocker Maple Nut Brown Ale from Idaho Springs, Colorado . It had a sweet taste and isn't overly strong in flavor or alcohol content. The website says that it is only 4.5% ABV. I liked it to try but again unlikely to buy a case, but wouldn't refuse it if offered to me either.
